I have a lot of thoughts about cars. They’re one of humanity’s most impressive inventions. So many moving parts forming a system that, while not perfect, is very efficient for what it is and does.
Here are some of my favorite takes on cars:
- Continuously Variable Transmissions are cool and good.
- Electric cars are just as cool as combustion cars, but differently.
- All major car brands are worthy of respect and sentiments like “I hate all X brand cars” are usually uninformed and unhelpful.
- Stick shift is fun.
- Speeding can be okay sometimes.
- An engine is meant to be used, not abused and not babied. More…
- Cruise control is an essential feature in a daily driven car. More…
- Increasing driver assistance features will decrease driver awareness.
- Texting and driving is incredibly dangerous and should not be normalized.
My favorite combustion car is the Dodge Charger. I am also fond of Mustangs, and others.
