I’m Dylan Bowerman! An Eagle Scout, avid learner, enthusiastic leader, and innovative administrator, I have spent my life making myself and the technology around me better.
Hey, I’m Dylan! 👋
My name is Dylan Bowerman, and I am an undergraduate student studying Data Science at Florida Polytechnic University. I have dedicated my life to technology, ever since I was young. Whether it be consuming it, studying it, manufacturing, or (unfortunately) breaking it, I have a lifetime of experience embedding myself deep in the digital ecosystems that make the modern world work.
What I Do
I build robots!
One of my theories about technology is that just about anything capable of logical processing is a robot in some capacity, from the computer to the toaster to Microsoft Word. I have years of experience building robots for fun, both digitally and in the real world, plus even more building robots competitively.
I speak out!
I have always been an outspoken advocate for equality, inclusion, diversity, and accessibility. Lapses in these fields are easily overlooked, if not given the attention they deserve. Going out of my way to ensure that people feel welcome and included in any environment, professional and personal, is a task that brings me incredible joy.
I lead teams!
With years of leadership experience under my belt, I am very comfortable taking leadership or managerial roles. While in University, I had officer positions in numerous clubs, many of which were executive-level. Numerous organization and/or campus improvement projects were introduced, presented, organized, and executed by myself and my loyal teams.
I have fun!
Besides my many personal hobbies, I try very hard to make work enjoyable for those around me. I’m not afraid to decorate, use emoji, attach a gif, or throw a subtle pun into my professional emails. All when appropriate, of course. At my University, I launched a very successful “Bring Charisma to Meetings” campaign, which I am certain increased productivity and overall morale among my peers and within my team.
